Brownfield Site Cleanup & Remediation

Creekside has managed the cleanup and regulatory closure of approximately 15 industrial, commercial and residential sites in the last four years including several former construction debris landfills, large manufacturing and fabricating facilities, scrap yards, dry cleaners, former lumber mills, former waste disposal sites, and a recycling center. These projects have required extensive soil and groundwater quality assessment and remedial investigation, risk assessment, feasibility studies, and No Further Action determinations from the State.

Additionally, Creekside will pursue obtaining a No Further Action (NFA) status with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) for the site. Approximately 20 of Creekside’s projects have resulted in the site obtaining an NFA from DEQ. A listing of all the NFAs Creekside has helped obtain can be provided upon request.

Creekside completed a full-scale demolition and cleanup of a former battery site in southeast Portland, we decommissioned 16 USTs for Eastman Chemical Company in NW Portland, we managed the OKI Semiconductor facility closure and site cleanup located in Tualatin, Oregon; and we managed the cleanup of a former tannery (federal and State superfund site) in Sherwood, Oregon. These projects included collecting, documenting and reporting the results for hundreds of samples collected from facility surfaces, soil, groundwater, storm water, and solid waste management units.
